Hey Tim,
stay safe down there. Looks like Isaac's eye could be coming to pay you a visit. Sure hope he does it sooner rather than later. Cat 2 run might be in the mix if he continues to strengthen. Reports from Grand Isle are winds gusts over 100 mph

Yeah lsu, yall are gonna get racked in south lafourche. Its not extreme here but its a got good punch and a ton of midgrade gusts in the 50s and 60s here near bucktown. Be safe man. Oh and it was councilman Roberts who reported the gust in grand isle at 120. He is a high official but did not divulge his source. Said there was some structural damage. Even if its an overblown report, its coming.

You can create you own account to use it. It is Free. I am in no way associated with the site, just letting you guys know its out there. So far its been fantastic. I've been running a 6 hr KLIX radar animation and you can do up to 12 hrs. But it does many other things and does them pretty good.

Want to repeat this since last two posts took up entire page in case it was missed. Director of GOSHEP is reporting wind gusts over 100 mph in Grand Isle. Said damage is much worse than was expected.

Thanks Guys,
We are getting racked pretty hard right now. South Lafourche Airport is reporting gusts to 76mph right now so I could well believe that GI is getting 100mph gusts. The house is shaking a bit but the genny is running and I am surfing the web even if it is a bit slow. I sure don't like the creaks and groans of the house but I know it is built for this and alot more. Rain is really coming down now and I walked outside a bit ago and you can definitely feel that it has gotten quite a bit warmer in the past hour even with all the wind and rain.

That doesn't tell us anything. To me that looks like it's going to turn more northward. Could you explain what you see there that tells you why it stalled please? Thanks.

Excuse my stupidity...

But what will cause the storm to break out and go North? I mean you know the NHC sees this and took it into account. However, what makes them think it wont really influence the storm?

From twitter: @Unapproved Site.com: Via Grand Isle Mayor: Island has significant damage and water on the island is waist deep

The source appears to be a competing website...and it won't let me post it...

Looks like second landfall might happen South of Grand Isle. Now the million dollar question. Will this be the final landfall or will we have another South of Houma and maybe another on the West side of Vermillion Bay?

32 miles for a hurricane whose central core is around that size anyway isn't much of an error. Let's just see what it does since it's been wobblin' around so much. Let's see where it is by tomorrow morning. I'm just saying the NHC is still doing fine on the forecast. :)

please forgive my tone. I am just curious as how what can be visually seen seems to be blatantly ignored. :)
