Wind is really picking up in prairieville. Looks like we will get a bad band soon.

We live near Blue Bayou, and the wind has really picked up. Still have power, have turned down a/c so that when the power is gone, it will be cool for awhile. Local mets are saying that we will be on the dirty side for awhile. Here we go for our area.
Not a met, but, I can tell it is raining, seek professional help.

I know that last night when i went to bed people were thinking it would skirt the coast which i think it is and move west making to sw la and east texas. Which the gfs and some other models were also thinking. Do ya'll still think this will be the case or will isaac be pulled north prior to that.

Just my opinion, I thinks Isaac will move inland more, then jog a bit WNW, and ultimately get picked up and pushed NE. I don't see Isaac making it to the Texas coast and that is what the NHC is saying also.

Wasn't it the NAM 0z had it hitting Port Arthur,TX- this thing just keeps teasing TX all while its pounding LA- For those of us who are on ER teams in TX- the past two weeks have been the longest ever
Issac's path has been anything but stable and anyone following Joe Bastardi's reports knew this would be a costly mess no matter what category it is-

Gonna saute up some crow and top it with Tabasco for breakfast. I had made a bold statement saying I didnt think it would be that bad of a rain event. Boy was I wrong!! I never imagined it would sit like this. So like I said, I am back to admit where I was wrong instead of hiding until the storm comes into play. Good luck to all those down there in SE LA. Here in Pcola, we are being spared by just 50 miles from the onslaught of wind and rain.

They extended the Tropical Storm Watch to High Island from Sabine Pass, the Tropical Storm Warning extends from Sabine Pass to Morgan City LA.

Short term motion certainly seems via satellite/radar to be a slow west-northwest movement. Almost a crawl, really. Not good.

Agreed, I see a NW movement on last few radar frames.

NHC has been calling it a NW movement for the last 24 hours. Very stubborn to acknowledge the fact it has not gone NW.
