It is where Wall Street (east to west oriented) meets the East River. Yes I saw video on our local TV station WABC. It has been breached.

Long Beach, Long Island also breached.

Don't know about TWC, but here is data from backup sensors at the Battery:

Note, pressure is still dropping as well.

Karen, if you don't mind...could you update that graph like every half hour or so for us to see? the graph I have only goes to 10, yours goes to 12. Very informative and interesting.

This graph udates the scale as needed and is currently at 10.10 ft. http://tidesonline.noaa.gov/plotcomp.sh ... ttery,+NY#

New Mexico had no hurricanes. Then I moved to NC right before Fran.....

Yes, bru. This is insane. We will have major subway and building flooding downtown.

I just don't see how the subway can't flood. That green line has to stay above 6 for the next 2.5 hours. The Weather Channel has been great until today...it has made some gaffes.

Yes. Now the worst is yet to come for areas north of the center as winds shift to the south and blow the water into NYC and Long Island.

Glanced up at the weather channel and holy cow....Reynolds Wolf I think they said it was...somewhere in connecticut...the winds and water was just amazingly scary there. They lost the feed with him now. But wow, by far the worst footage i've seen from anywhere right there where he was.

He's in Stonington, CT. Very seasoned wx reporter and he was having trouble.

6:25.

Quality will be bad now since it's dark here and I don't know how to set this camera up for night/rain shooting.

Great job, thanks, and stay safe! Still looks good enough to see what's happening.
