Power outages just for Southern NJ, Philadelphia and Delaware:
http://philadelphia.cbslocal.com/2012/1 ... formation/
Posted at 2:00 pm
The following power outages have been reported due to the effects of Hurricane Sandy:
PECO: 90,000
AC ELECTRIC: 130,724
ATLANTIC- 57,591
BURLINGTON- 4,747
CAMDEN- 7,504
CAPE MAY-13,828
CUMBERLAND- 4,509
GLOUCESTER- 7,717
OCEAN COUNTY- 30,934
SALEM- 3,730
DELMARVA POWER: 84,436
PPL: 98,889 customers in 28 counties
PSE&G: The number of outages is now at 93,500 – 40,000 are in Essex County, 15,000 in Passaic County and 12,000 in Bergen County. Willingboro and Collingswood were among the South Jersey towns hit by outages, at various times, Camden, Burlington and Mercer Counties were reporting more than 500 each. PSE&G urges customers to prepare for the possibility of lengthy outages – perhaps seven days or more — due to the enormity of Hurricane Sandy, which forecasters predict may become the worst storm to hit the Northeast in 100 years. It may take until Wednesday until a full assessment of the storm’s damage can be made and the utility can more accurately predict when full restoration can be made.
Delmarva Power & Light: 20,528
PPL Electric: 1,690

That seems to be an old and spurious report from 11+ hours ago:

I'm in Waterloo, Ontario right now and parts of the city are without power here as well. Getting pretty gusty, and only supposed to increase though the night. Crazy to think that this storm is so far from me yet is still producing such powerful winds and rain. Also a woman in Toronto has died due to being hit by debris from a sign that was blown down by Sandy's winds. Stay safe to all who are in Sandy's path, my thoughts are with you.

The NHC will NOT report on the "post trypical cyclone" f/k/a HURRICANE SANDY past 11:00 pm; the hydrometeorology reports begin at 5:00 am tomorrow. Where, pray tell, are citizens to obtain updates other than media outlets during the gap? The terminology police will not assist public awareness of the danger.

Just crazy to wrap my head around that we are witnessing the worst storm in NYC in over 200 years. It's not just NYC though, the entire NE is getting destroyed. I can only imagine the areas being hardest hit are unable to be reached at this time by rescue teams as well as the media. Daybreak tomorrow will be scary.
