Alright already ... is this better?

OMG!!! The 12z GFS has a snowstorm for Texas at about 360 hours! I'm psyched!! (It really does)

Allright! Now we are talking. Interesting, that storm might fall in line with Ntwx's super storm currently in the Pacific somewhere. Or it may not. Nice to think about though. :D

Your statement has me wondering, if a Texas summer was similar to a Saskatchewan summer, would I still crave the cold and winter as much as I do now? Yeah, probably so. I am a winter lover at heart and that will not change anytime soon.

 Don't let the heat miser sway you! It's a folly fantasy, even if it slides east without a +AO or +EPO it stands no chance getting warm for very long. Any warm up only lasts a few days this winter, island of warmth in a sea of cold!

In case you didn't get a chance to read my weather article from last night, here it is! Our weather will likely be dry and chilly for at least the next 5 days. http://www.examiner.com/article/active- ... b_articles

Well, Dallas is home and will be for a while. Outside of the unrelenting summer heat, weather wise Dallas is not a bad place to be. Plus my wonderful wife would never allow a move to a colder climate. :cheesy:

Ah maybe an annual winter holiday up North (one with the guys) would be best then.

I know Texans love their State but to love winter's gifts of snow is really a heartbreaker there (esp even if you get it it only lasts for a fleeting moment)..... as you are all more than aware.

Maybe you could rent your house out to a bunch of crazy Storm2k'ers next winter. Then you could laugh at every single one of us as we get a taste of what real winter is like. :D

Or low to mid 90's, Galveston. Oh wait, on second thought, the water is WAY too murky..ha ha....I would just love a summer where it is cool. I mean maybe 95 and that is it.

Yeah, when I think 95 is cool, I am toast. After the summer of 2011, I am not sure many of us are sane ( well Wxman 57, but that man loves extreme heat!!). It was just a nightmare. I hope to finish my paper by December 2013. LOL

True, very true. Our winter attacks last only a short while before they are gone. Also I would like to say there is no such thing as wasted cold, IMO

:uarrow:
Totally agree. Cold is needed down here to keep things in balance -- especially the influences of the wxman57-type systems/patterns! :)

In any case, I prefer cold over heat ANY DAY OF THE WEEK. IMO, one can always put more on, but only take off so much. :P

I take it public nudity is frowned upon down there???? You need the laws of Ontario!

I did notice that! It's like the far east version of a nor'easter on steroids! I wasn't using the system as part of the thoughts but it's good that you noticed the connection before me . I wonder if the same drivers are at work like during the fall when a cyclone re-curves in the WPAC translates to cold 7-10 days down the line in NA.

Edit: Looks like TPB got there first to the idea

I'm curious about that low pressure MONSTER.

Bob Rose doesn't mention it in yesterday's blog. Something to watch!
