18z GFS ENS more in line with ECM moving the Low toward the upper Gulf Coast but does little with it.

There's a blowup about 75 miles east of Barbara, could that area take over if it persists

Wow,

Major blow up of thunder storms tonight in the western Caribbean. Barbra or not if this can persist we just may have a storm in the next day or so.

Without graphics I can say that both GFS and ECMWF continue with development at the 00z respective runs.

Have to like the consistency and persistency by both the GFS and ECMWF of slow development in the BOC/SE GOM over the next few days and for it to finally move northward by the end of next week.

If convection persists over the BOC today, now that we have models' backing up development, the area will probably get highlighted yellow today or tomorrow.

Barbara's old H85 vorticity is still very evident on Sat loop this morning, located near 19N & 94.8W, is my estimate.

The Big upper level low that has been providing dry sheer over the gulf is starting to lift Northeastward.
There is still enough circulation from the Barbara remnants to keep convection blooming over the BOC east of the LLC for another day or so.
My guess would have been that the monsoonal showers would just die down to a simmer as the LLC dissipated, but according to Crown weather all the official guidance is now favorable for development in the BOC!
