I am voting for May.
Development could be in the area of the NW Caribbean/SE GOM or just east of FL.

Well if this MJO pulse is as strong as it looks then we could see some possible tropical development in the GOM/Carribean areas...later on in May.

Else, I would say the first storm develops in late June.

Middle of June for me! See what that MJO does.

I voted months ago on here (in fact I actually was about to do so but completely forgot I did already!) and my current thinking is in line with my choice of between June 1-10. The specific date I'm thinking is June 2 with the TD forming the day before or the same day.

I accidentally voted for "June 21-30" but I was meant to say "May 21-30." Andrea will come on the 30th/31st May.

I had voted longtime ago for "1-10 June" but I didn't indicate my choice.

I went with June 11-20, 'cuz the remnants of Barb are kind of floating around in the BOC, and it will probably be a few more days until we get to see Andrea get its act together.

Looks like my June 1st-10th guess was right after all. Just had a funny feeling things would start to pick up once we hit June 1st, and yet they did.

Same here, I was also in the 17% group that got it right. I was only 3 days off but a lot of models were showing back in late May formation on June 2 so that counts for something right? :)

What little voice is telling you that June to early July will feature nothing? Everything is pointing in the opposite direction, I think this season is going to rip.

According to the 1800z GFS and its ensembles, there is not anything for the next two weeks at least. Of course once you get into long range, things can change.

And I thought my June 21-30 guess was being optimistic.

I voted back on March 13 for June 11-20. Just missed that predix, but I had a good feeling we would see another June storm at the time I voted. It just happened to come in the first week of the month instead of mid -June like I was thinking it would happen.
