Upper-level low

Just thought I'd show everyone this beast of an upper-level low off the southwestern coast of California. It developed in the shear zone between the northerly subtropical jet and the southerly subtropical jet. It's by far the driest I've ever seen one.

This upper-level low should become more embedded within the flow across the USA over the coming days, and it should be responsible for some scattered severe weather from the northern Plains southeast to the Mid-Atlantic over the next week.
