12 Z GFS flips again

#1 Postby ameriwx2003 » Tue Sep 09, 2003 11:53 am

Well the 12 Z GFS has flipped again and so far it hasn't been very consistent. The GFS also seems slow with its forward speed IMHO.. Oh well.. interesting days ahead for sure:):)

Way too slow IMO. I just don't see it sitting there for 3 to 4 days in the Bahamas. BTW, the trend isn't my friend. Has it hugging the East Coast of Florida and SLOOOW. But its BS> Cheers!!

I think that the 6Z GFS had Isabel moving away from the US. Now it has her hitting the Carolinas/MidAtlantic by 312 hours. It really doesn't seem reasonable that she would not be threatening the coast for another two weeks.

312 hours is way too dang long lol.. She'd be here quicker in 312 hours. at least that's my opinion

As I always say, the GFS is Good For Something more than 7 days out. Good for a laugh, anyway.

John.. I have a friend who is a MET and he agrees with you. He has some choice words for what GFS means after day 7 and none of the words I can repeat in this forum:):)
