How accurate do you feel the NHC's forecast for next 3 days are? That is within 50 NM of projected location.

Accuracy of NHC's projections so far

#1 Postby Tommedic » Tue Sep 09, 2003 1:58 pm

Has anyone plotted out the projected path from NHC and the actual path to determine how accurate they have been so far? Would like to know if their projections have been North or South of actual, then East or West of actual. This should help gauge how we can evaluate future projections. Any comments. As for my feeling, I don't see a fish nor do I see GOM storm. But I'm just an amateur.

I second those preview comments as NHc has done a fantastic job so far this season as forecast tracks are concerned. Will Isabels forecast track will be as good as the ones in the past we will see at the end.
