Twinkies Are Back

They are back, well almost, July 15. There is no doubt now that the Mayans were wrong about the end of the world.

They contain gluten? Funny -- that sounds too food-like for a Twinkie....

Re: Twinkies Are Back
I may have had a total of 5 twinkies in my entire life. Never did develop a taste for them. Maybe it was my body reacting to those "space age polymers".

Mom was always big on desert, even for lunch. On Saturday we would have a sit down lunch of grilled Spam sandwiches, a Twinkie, and a glass of milk. I am from a big family, and half the neighborhood would be over. It was fun

I got into those chocolate covered peanut butter wafer crunchy things for a while. Loved 'em. But so did my waistline until half my pants wouldn't fit any more.

Not that old! I recall summers like that myself, and I am technically still a student, so I have to young, right?

I read that Twinkies will now have a longer shelf life. 45 days compared to the previous 26 days.

I thought its shelf life was infinite? All the jokes about Twinkies are based on that so I'm stumped.

Twinkies are the quintessential vehicle to wash down with milk.
