This is the general tropical discussion area. Anyone can take their shot at predicting a storms path.

Which 2013 Atlantic name will become first Major?

#1 Postby RainbowAppleJackDash » Wed Jul 24, 2013 2:40 pm

Uhhh.. I'm just wondering guys, which storm(s) is/are most likely to become a major in the Atlantic this year?
I'm guessing Humberto, Ingrid and Karen.
Dorian has a good shot too.

I don't think Dorian will come close to MH status, but I'd like to see Melissa or Rebekah as late season majors.

Edit: And Ingrid of course... ' I ' storm.

Ok!! I'd like Dorian to become a major so that people will make Dorian Gray memes! But I am REALLY expecting Humgrid to be majors. They look terrifying.

Erin...sometime in Mid to Late August.
Jerry...sometime between Early September and Mid October, should Erin fall short.
These names stick out to me for some reason, maybe because they were land-affecting underdogs back in 1995.

Ingrid- because it's the "I" storm and in late August or early September.
Melissa- the name just sticks out to me and in late September or early October.

I think late August the first major will form but the recent trend has been quantity over quality so it could happen later as well.
