If any tropical system were to threaten would they have to drain a few feet from the lake a day or 2 before hand

They're supposedly draining the lake as much as they can currently and it's still rising. Dire situation if it reaches or exceeds 17 feet.

Yeah this could be a real challenge for the ACOE! Don't drain enough=problem! Drain too much=problem!

anyone know why the Bottom of High Lake Mngmt & Top of Water Short Mngmt keeps changing? I would think those numbers would be static.
