Interesting. One of the comments asked "What's next? Locusts?" as a joke but it would probably surprise them to know that locusts once made it all the way across the Atlantic to the Lesser Antilles. I believe it was sometime in the 1980s during the massive Sahara dust outbreaks. There was lots of fear that the locusts would wreck our crops but the birds made a feast of them!

Thank goodness for the Florida storms. We didn't have to deal with the SAL mess nearly as much.

It is getting better today. Yesterday was just weird. I am 5-6 miles from downtown and I could not see the buildings. Very weird.

We are on the north side of Galveston Bay (Chambers County). It looked like a picture from the surface of Mars last night around here. Like you said...weird! Glad to see this stuff get blown out asap. gb
