Checking satellite imagery this morning, it looks as if this featuremay be trying to work itself down to the surface. What are your thoughts on this?

Indeed it is. Convection is trying to wrap into the system from the south and southwest side. It is an interesting feature and it indeed seems that it is trying to get a reflection at the surface.

This feature also has my interest. At this rate who knows, by the weekend it just might be a subtropical or even tropical cyclone.

Yeah. compared to very earlier this morning when I started this thread, the system definitely looks much more organized and better late today at this time. It may be a problem if it does try to develop later this week and head eventually northward. Definitely, the Canadian provinces and Newfoundland late this week and into the weekend may have to watch this system if it indeed tries to attain subtropical/ tropical storm status.

I would not be surprised at all to see NHC designate this a possible invest soon, if the current trends continue with this system.
