Tampa....POST HERE!
Over the last few days in the chat room during henri some people didn't even know of tampa, well here is an easy graphic i made for a client sometime ago....
<IMG SRC="http://www.vancetax.com/tampa.gif">
I live in that small peninsula county on the gulf. It has the number one density in the state with 3,300-10,000 people per square mile. The area has been the second fastest growing area in the state behind south florida. The darker area on the map is the urban area. Has an annual population growth of 70,000 people. Fastest growing area is in the Southshore area of Hillsborough, New Tampa, Brandon, and most of Pasco. Hillsborough County is the fastest growing in the area with the addition of 28,000 people every year.
Also, just wanted to see who else lives in the area, just post a quick reply to this post.

Regarding the animals at zoos, I recall seeing a show on TLC or Animal Planet about wildlife in the aftermath of Andrew. They transport all the smaller animals that they can, but the larger animals (giraffes, elephants, etc.) are left to fend for themselves, since it would be logistically impossible to move them on such short notice. There was a zoo near Homestead that was severely damaged, but the animals fared surprisingly well, with very few being killed.

Central Florida is rapidly growing, as well. The community I live in has had a tremendous increase in population over the last few years, and it is only going to grow in the next 15 to 20 years.
How about the animals at Disney World's Animal Kingdom?
I not only enjoy Meteorology, U.S. Geography, so of course I know where Tampa is located, too.
