Surely at 5 PM winds will be bumped to 140-145 mph.

OMG! cycloneye. But I can't say I'm really surprised. She sure looks stronger with all that intense banding around the eye -- which is better defined now.

That's for sure... Isabel will be a borderline Cat 5 by 5... Scary site... She really is already a borderline Cat 5 it's just a matter of if she'll ever reach the upper echelon of hurricane classification

6.5 means a Dvorak satellite estimate of 127 kts (146 mph)....likely central pressure now in the 935 mb range.

Here is a chart that shows all the classifications of the sat estimates of the winds.6.5 for Isabel is 127kts bordering cat 5.

CAT 5 is a real possibility.. they are rare..

Yikes! Cat 5 storms are pretty rare in the Atlantic basin, but this one looks like it has a chance. :o

Yes... I would say that winds will be at 145 mph. Very good banding with Isabel. :o
