NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE TAMPA BAY AREA - RUSKIN FL
142 PM EDT WED SEP 10 2003

CURRENTLY: ITS A BEAUTIFUL DAY. MOSTLY SUNNY SKIES...MID TO UPPER
80S TEMPERATURES AND 60 TO 65 PERCENT RH ACROSS THE CWA.

SHORT TERM (TONIGHT THRU FRI): THE RIDGE TO THE NORTH CONTINUES TO
BUILD AND GIVE THE AREA NORTHEAST TO EAST FLOW AS THE THROUGH LEFT
FROM HENRI OFF THE EASTERN SEABOARD BEGINS TO LIFT TO THE NORTH ON
FRIDAY. WILL LEAN TOWARD THE GFS TODAY AS IT BEST HANDLED THE DRY AIR
THIS MORNING. ETA INITIALIZED WETTER AND TRIES TO BRING THE MOISTURE
BACK TOO QUICKLY. MOISTURE SHOULD BEGIN TO RETURN ON FRIDAY SO WILL
KEEP THE 30 POPS IN AS A WEST COAST SEABREEZE SHOULD DEVELOP. TEMPS
WILL REMAIN NEAR CLIMO WITH LOWS SLIGHTLY COOLER THAN NORMAL DUE TO
THE DRY AIR.

EXTENDED (SAT THRU WED): SURFACE RIDGE WILL REMAIN NORTH OF THE
REGION THROUGH THE EXTENDED CONTINUING THE EAST TO SOUTHEAST FLOW.
THIS WILL GRADUALLY INCREASE THE MOISTURE WITH SCATTERED POPS EACH
AFTERNOON AND EVENING. TEMPERATURES WILL REMAIN NEAR NORMAL.

MARINE: WINDS THROUGH THE PERIOD WILL BE EAST TO SOUTHEAST AT AROUND
10 KTS WITH SEAS AROUND 2 FEET.

FIRE WEATHER: NO CONCERNS.

It's good to have this drying out time, just in case. The weekend may bring a few more showers but for now it's gorgeous. Too bad some of us have to be inside at work (and monitor Storm2k, of course).
