I feel like you and I are kind of like the two guys locked in the room at the start of SAW right now.

When will recon investigate Ingrid again? very anxious to see what they find.

It looks kind of elongated from NW to SE in the last few frames of Sattelite.

Recon is not even close to the center an it's finding 50 mile-per-hour winds
Also HIV feature is gone from satellite. Weird.

I wonder if the recon thought the center was a bit more south and was forces the change direction a bit, almost looks like that.

They are on a scheduled pattern:

"The NOAA43 aircraft is scheduled to fly a Tail Doppler Radar Experiment into Tropical Storm Ingrid at 1200 UTC (2PM Eastern) today. They are planning to fly a figure four pattern and collect data. They will take off from MacDill AFB and recover there eight hours later. Below is the proposed flight pattern. The numbers on the figure represent the turn points that the aircraft will make. The red dots in the figure show the locations that launch weather balloons twice a day. The flight pattern is very similar to their previous flight."

Interesting to go back a day or two and see what pro mets (and others) were saying about Ingrid and potential strengthening. It appears she's an aggressive woman and ahead of schedule.

Question is, will she have any other surprises for us?

Personally, I doubt it. She seems like she is determined and headed in the direction of her choosing - Mexico.

She's still headed north so isn't headed for Mexico just yet.
