Can't we just stick a knife in Henri? My huge b-day party is on Saturday, but because of stupid Henri, it's going to rain! :o :(

Actually, I agree -- Henri's circulation was still quite clear on visible imagery and sfc plots yesterday, but it's purely cold-core now. It is being re-born as a Hatteras low along the cold front. Convection is increasing this morning, and it looks like an east coast rain event in a day or two.

I guess JB will (again) spend more time this morning discussing Henri than Isabel.... :?:

Yes, the "ghost of Henri" ( ) is going to make things soggy for the mid-Atlantic and Northeast over the next few days. And coastal regions will continue to get higher tides, flooding and quite a bit of beach erosion.

And then later next week, we could get a visit from whatever is left of Isabel. :o
