Almost looks like the southern end of the front is slowing/weakening...

I'm starting to doubt the whole possible 2nd center idea mentioned earlier...

Don't dismiss it yet. The LLC is still there and if it indeed starts moving eastward or redeveloping eastward there is a chance it will regenerate. The only reason I still think it's possible is because the convection it's generating is still quite intense and keeps developing in the same area rather than blowing all the way east and dissipating. So there is still a lot of available energy in the general area for regeneration.

Only extreme southeast LA.
(GEAUX TIGERS - I love it.) Laissez les Bontemps rouler.

The last VDM from recon did indicate that the center had moved south, possibly being tugged by the convection, though certainly not a relocation.

Karen is pretty much over in my opinion as a solid tropical cyclone. There isn't even a proper LLC present.

Karen is dead. It's not even close to being a TD, much less a TS. Winds around the center are 5-15 kts, and note that a number of these measurements are being made at 200-400 ft above the water where the wind is stronger. The center is left of the crosshairs.

57,
So, there is no second LLC taking over to keep it alive longer?

Not really. It was probably doing so earlier, but the conditions are not hospitable in any way for the redevelopment of anything.

There's barely a first center, much less a second.

Can we get bones to call the rest of the season dead so we can move on and fast forward to next season. This is about as bad as watching LSU's defense.
