Could the CONUS be saved from Isabels wrath????
The trough moving through the country appears to be getting stronger..also the area of convection associated with Henri's remains seems to be persisting..It is my opinion that one or the combination of the two MAY spare the CONUS from Isabel..thoughts???

Okay that WAS a DUH OG! *Smacks forehead with palm*
I dont'w ant to see it either- I really don't... but I really think she's heading in all the wrong directions and interacting with all the wrong things, and strengthening too much for her to turn away now.
But I'll be throwing my first Un-Hurricane party the day she fishes out to sea... just to celebrate such a close call for everyone.

I would love to agree with you, but at this time I don't see either event having enough of an influence to significantly alter the storm course before getting dangerously close to the EC. I have pulled my hair out today studying forecast models, and all I got for my effort was a headache. Not sure if the headache was caused by eyestrain, tugging on what little hair I have left, or brain overload. In the end, I went and pulled my boat from the marina, ran the generator for a couple of hours to get the cobwebs out, and bought a couple of brews for later tonight. I think we are in the dreaded lull. That period when we don't know if the storm is coming or going.

Well Johnathan my answer is no neither one will keep Isabel away from the conus!.....................The front itself has nearly come to a halt for one because of the ridge in the east..............Now later on come sunday and into next week another front should begin to make its way into the US which may get a bit farther east then todays front...........Question is lik everyone is wondering how far east does that next front get?.......................And as for our Hattaras LOW (NON Tropical) It will pull off to the N and then out into the Atlantic and once that is gone the ridge should build back in.............For how long is the question? If at all any effect these two may have is to pull Isable a little farther north but she should continue on her course towards the US mainland!............................
