MIXED OPINIONS

#1 Postby Josephine96 » Thu Sep 11, 2003 4:57 pm

Unlike earlier when I was bashing the mid day mets for my local news channels here, there has been a slight change in tone.

Tom Sorrels of my local CBS affiliate {Channel 6} is still on the "cold front bandwagon" and is in strong belief of Florida being spared..

Mike O Lenick on Channel 2 is in a wait and see mode..

Tom Terry on Channel 9 {probably 1 of my favorite local mets from here..} still appears to be quite concerned.. the way he said "he HOPES a trough comes and pulls it out" you could see how concerned he was..

I'm not 1 of these 3 guys but I am getting more and more ancy as she strengthens and treks slowly across the Atlantic. The gut feeling in my stomach even might be growing a little bit.. :(

Boy is this true.. This morning I was more hopeful, now I am more doubtful, and by 11 pm who knows?? This waiting game is something else!

Deena... You aint kiddin.. I almost wish she was moving a little faster, then we'd know a little sooner..

and worse.. I don't know if you saw my post yesterday about me being concerned for my own personal safety because I'm on the 3rd floor of an apartment..

I checked today.. MY APARTMENT COMPLEX DOESN'T HAVE A HURRICANE PLAN! All the manager said was "If the Police tell you to go, then go.. otherwise stay and ride it out.."

I am not gonna ride out a Category 3,4,5 whatever here...

Concerned and mad also {gives look of anger towards irresponsible apartment complex management}

Josephine.. I dont blame you for being upset.. I would be! We live in a house & we had shutters installed last season but in a direct hit from a Cat5 would they even help? Who knows?
I am trying not to worry and I just wish I understood more about the troughs etc but I am learning!
