wont be decimated. There simply wont be a trace of the worst affected areas

Even that may be conservative. Maybe 180 kt or even 185 kt perhaps?

This is still extremely shocking by JTWC standard, their forecasters must have being in a mind of being impressed

I doubt any agency would go beyond a T8.0 level though without surface or Recon to prove it though. Even if Recon went in and found an SFMR reading of, say, 200 kt, would they be willing to go that high just for fear of having a heart attack writing the advisory?

If this was at a higher latitude, at this wind speed, it may have been the strongest tropical cyclone ever recorded (pressure may have been below 870 mbar). Can this make it to 200 mph? AND COINCIDE WITH SUNRISE AND FIRST VISIBLES? Might be the most stunning first visibles ever.

where could you find the 170kts? i can't seem to find it on any sites? i still see 165kts, can you point me in the right direction so i could keep track of the wind speed?
