yes it did peak at 125 knots...


WPAC ACE continues to ramp up accounting 265.055, that's more than half of the global ACE of 516.1450 or about 75 percent of the Northern Hemisphere ACE.

To put things in perspective, the atlantic hurricane season produced 250 not counting the many other other wpac seasons which are higher...

The ACE for WPAC is up to 267.965 and Haiyan finished with 36.82.

Updated numbers from Dr. Ryan Maue's site for this week as of 11/19. Global average is now 3/4th's way to the average thanks in large part to the West Pacific. Subtropical storm Melissa is spinning in the North Atlantic and his site does calculate her ACE however if she does not transition to a tropical storm or hurricane then it will not count in the seasonal value.

Western Pacific: 268.332 [Normal: 276 - 97% of normal]

North Atlantic: 31.125* [Normal: 100 - 31% of normal]

Eastern Pacific: 75.355 [Normal: 136 - 55% of normal]

North Indian: 22.89 [Normal: 13 -176% of normal *Yearly total is 18*]

Does anybody know the new number für the atlantic with unnamend storm in december 2013, recently upgraded?

Well it was subtropical in nature so there is no ACE for it.
