Where are you at? Here in far north Dallas i'm getting a steady rain right now. Not sure if it's freezing to anything or not. I'll take a walk in 30 mins or so.

You're about 34 degrees there as of 30 minutes ago. I don't know if the rain has dropped it any there though.

It's 34 in Waco currently. Precip should lower that a couple degrees when it finally rolls into there.

Wet bulb cooling doing its work as this band moves through, temp down to 31.5 F on the westside of Fort Worth. Not much room to go lower as RH now 96%. Radar echoes are really picking out towards Brownwood, more than likely sleet bands.

Are these spotty showers out towards brownwood/san angelo expected to pick up and build up? I know the brunt of the storm that was originally expected was supposed to be around 3 or 4 AM?

Temp is now back to 32 here and we're getting some light precip. Time to get some sleep.

Be careful everyone!

There are several shortwaves moving through the southwest flow aloft and are obviously very hard to pick up on. Short range models are continuously playing catch up

By spotty showers, I'm assuming you mean what's west of Abilene & San Angelo. Because Brownwood was under a moderate band. Though more precip is behind this band, I think this is our main player. That said, as Orangeblood said, these shortwaves are hard to pick up, so I don't really know for sure.

Steady light rain here in southern Garland - but I had some sleet mix in for a brief time. There might be flakes mixing in too but I can't be too sure... you know how tough it is to tell at night lol.

It's too bad the surface temperatures are too high here in Dallas County... the radar trend is actually really, really good. We're in for several hours of steady-heavy precip.

By the way, the chatroom is open and we're discussing the storm there. :)

Didn't get much of a sleet storm. But I'm sure we are all ready for whatever winter storm is next and I can't wait.
