Fine reporting too, I might add. It's all true. I was there.

Great work indeed. I think it's time to fill the PWC publicist spot don't you?

On all the radars now, I'm starting to show light returns on the southern end of this thing. From Uvalde to San Antonio to Waco NE to west of Tyler by I20/30. I wonder if that's the band that the 00Z NAM has been advertising & the new 00Z GFS rolling in.

No more wondering. Just stepped out & can see UP falling. No ice forming on anything yet. But everything is wet now.

I thought you guys liked last winter in Texas? I recall a lot of complaints about the 2011-2012 winter for TX and rejoiced when it wasn't like that one, correct?

Last winter was better than 2011/12, that one was just putrid. But last year was really only Dallas because of the Christmas snow miracle and the few surprise events. Outside of that bubble it was uneventful for everyone else in the state.

Ha, not from me. I loved having that week off of school, and then getting that fresh fluffy snow on top of it that we so rarely see in Texas. I'm sure storms like this are a pain for a lot of people and it is really sad when deaths result from this type of weather, but I live for this stuff. From winter weather to severe weather, even if whats going to happen is terrifying, I still find it so interesting that I can't keep my eyes off of it. I think that's why a lot of us are on this board.

There are heavy radar returns from Tarrant county. Can anyone out there verify if it's heavy sleet, freezing rain, or mixture?

Isn't the warmer layer so warm and that it is pulling up the temps because the precip is so heavy?
