Isabel headed toward the eastcoast?

This is the general tropical discussion area. Anyone can take their shot at predicting a storms path.

I wonder after day 5 where Isabel will be heading. It seems more evident to me the eastcoast.

So are you in agreement that Isabel is headed towards the eastcoast. Where do you think landfall will be.

Windy, conventional wisdom is that she is headed toward the east coast.

NOAA (Isabel Discussion #24) wrote:IT IS STILL TOO EARLY TO SPECULATE WHAT PORTIONS OF THE U.S. EAST COAST MIGHT BE AFFECTED BY ISABEL.
I found this sentence interesting by forecaster Franklin, because for the first time they seem to imply it's likely it will, in fact, impact the east coast. You'll notice they didn't say "...WHAT PORTIONS (IF ANY)...". This could just be a case of fuzzy semantics, but considering how cautious they usually are in their discussions, I tend to doubt it. Though the NOAA won't say it outright for a while, I think they themselves now think east coast landfall is a decent possibility.

And the East Coast is any where from Florida to Maine.
