Anyone notice how far behind schedule the Eastern Pacific is this year.
There have been 11 Tropical Storms
2 Hurricanes
0 Major Hurricanes
And this is the 2nd week of September in most recent years the Eastern Pacific starts like a house on fire and as the Atlantic fires up the Eastern Pacific quiets down significantly.
If no Major hurricane forms this year when would the last time such an event occurred.
Also notice how the storms have relatievly short tracks with Jimena the longest and oldest system to date.
Passed from 130W to 179W and lasting 8 days.
