Yikes - Joe B's got it in for the mid atlantic!

#1 Postby mitchell » Fri Sep 12, 2003 7:51 am

"As a boy, my dad used to always talk about storms trying to take short cuts to the coast with out recurving. The benchmark storm of course is the 1933 Norfolk hurricane and the European is conjuring up memories of that. It has shifted much further north with Isabel now and is near 33 north and 72 west by next Thursday. But the upper ridge has recranked in the gulf of Maine to east of Bermuda, the surface high is an outrageous 1038 over northern Maine and the upper flow runs from the southeast all the way into the great lakes. It is in word, trying to duplicate an almost unheard of event"

Figures that JB would jump all over one run of the Euro to stir up folks in the Northeast.

I think JB is just describing what the Euro model is showing on its latest run. But does he actually agree with that run of the Euro? That is the question.

Joe B from this morning says his suspicions lie from the Carolinas to New England for Isabel but its to early to say when or where for sure.
