The most astounding thing to me is 94S tracked into the western desert. Temps there can be mid 40c/50c
Stinking hot and dust .

Is this ever going to move over water?! Every time I check an image, it's still inland. Why is it taking so long?

Maybe because of the relatively flat terrain or other factor, I'm not sure.
I made a loop from the radar images from Port Headland , here it is
very organized while over land

Severe Weather Warning
for heavy rain
for people in the Goldfields, Eucla and South East Coastal forecast districts.
Issued at 10:55 am WST on Thursday 23 January 2014.
For people in parts of WA bounded by Israelite Bay to Norseman to Leonora to Laverton to Eucla.
The Severe Weather Warning for people in the Central Wheat Belt and western parts of the Goldfields (including Kalgoorlie) has been cancelled.
Weather Situation
At 10am a deep low was located over the western Goldfields, about 200
kilometres northwest of Kalgoorlie. Heavy rainfall is being experienced in a
rain band extending southeastwards from the low. Thunderstorms are also
expected to produce heavy rain over the northern Goldfields this afternoon.
THUNDERSTORMS and HEAVY RAIN which may lead to FLASH FLOODING are forecast
today through the Eucla forecast district and eastern parts of the Goldfields
and South East Coastal forecast districts. Conditions should start to ease by
this evening.
A Flood Warning is also current for the Goldfields District.
The Severe Weather Warning for eastern parts of the Central Wheat Belt forecast
district and the western Goldfields has been cancelled.
Rainfall in excess of 100mm occurred at various locations in the Goldfields in
the 24 hours until 9am this morning, including 118mm at Leonora and 103mm at
Kalgoorlie.
This is an unusual weather system for this time of year.
