We are getting some small sleet here or graupel, I think it is graupel. The temp has started dropping fast, it has gone from 37 to 32 in the last 45 minutes.

You should be seeing some sleet soon up there, WeatherDuck. Stay safe.
Temps in most of Travis County are pretty much now at or below freezing with just the southern third of the county sitting 33-34 degrees.

It looks like that band of elevated reflectivity currently moving eastward across Williamson county is mainly sleet. It seems like the reports from there are sleet.

Re: Texas Winter 2013-2014
It's snowing like crazy here in Jacksonville 30 miles south of Tyler. And by "snowing like crazy" I mean light snow. But for our part of the country, light snow = snowing like crazy. No big fluffy flakes, but lots and lots of small-medium sized ones.
Gonna go try to shoot a video and upload it to youtube. I tried just now while walking my dog but the flakes weren't showing up too well. Gonna try again now w/o the dog.

This is a 0-2 on the sperry piltz scale and shouldn't result in complete shut downs but it is Southern Texas after all, the roads will be chaos tomorrow morning.
(bolded by me)
What does that mean? Thanks in advance.
Also
Thanks Port for being here for us here in Prius-Town-Non Prius-Town lol.

Is it wet snow or more of a dry dusting?

Re: Texas Winter 2013-2014
Very, very low dewpoints racing south across north TX and into the Hill Country. Near zero in Dallas now and below zero west of Dallas. Such air will have very little moisture to produce snow from. That's why it will be hard to get anything but tiny snowflakes/ice crystals in the greater Dallas area.
