And, while models have struggled all season with EPO/WPO forecasts - it is interesting to note the foretasted reversal to both + EPO, and + WPO after the first of the month. Lots to monitor in the coming week.

Not sure which model you're looking at but everything I've seen the negative EPO is forecast to continue through the next 15 days and the WPO is forecast to go into even more negative territory

And don't look now but starting around hr 96 its showing the beginning of more winter weather in deep south central tx. Then by hr 108 shows it across the gulf coast towards Pensacola. Looks like south LA really gets the most out of it.

We've GOT to figure out how to get at least one ground covering snow or sleet event in Austin this winter for Portastorm. A full inch or two or maybe even three! Last night's event was simply a warmup act, a hors d'œuvre for our fearless leader.

dhweather, can you adjust your meteograms to show where the dew point bottoms out at? Not for the ones you've already posted, but in the future. It'll help illustrate how dry it will be during the cold.

Keeping our resident Diabalo del Sol out of Texas might help. Perhaps an extended stay in Biloxi can be arranged?

Ok a dewpoint of just 1 here in Del Rio, is just nuts. We never had a chance of any sleet or snow here.

Anything I post is my personal opinion and should not used for any type of planning or lifesaving reasons. Please refer to National Weather Service forecasts.

Yeah, it phases the energy cutting underneath the West Coast Ridge with the northern stream across Texas early next week - showing a pretty impressive system. The GFS doesn't think much of the baja system and the Euro has it cutting off the coast of Baja instead of phasing - pay close attention to the energy cutting underneath the ridge over the next few days

Anyone know what the highway conditions are like around Waco? About to head out on our drive from Dallas to Austin, and the only area that seems to have bad traffic on Google is around Waco. Thanks in advance!
