Noaa Gulfstream is flying now

Apart from the recon hurricane hunter now going into Isabel the noaa survelliance jet is also up looking for the upper enviroment data so tonight the models should have better imput about the upper patterns to then make their runs much better.

I'm just twitching in excitement for some real data- and possibly more solid forcasts....

Just wish I could be in one of those planes- it's the only way I'd ever want to get that close to Issy LOL

I am sure they are a tad nervous about flying into a CAT 5!! They don't get to do it very often..lol

Only time will tell if the forecast will change from the input of the NOAA jet.

I interviewed a hurricane hunter from the squadron in Miss. a few years ago and he offered to take me up during a 'cane. Being a white-knuckle flyer, I declined. I'm a trainfan. Now though, I sort of wish I had gone -- I think.......
