Looks like parts of DFW might ge in on the action!!! I see the moisture building the SW creeping ever so slowly to the Metroplex.

Nah, that's in the northwest part of town. I'm in the southwest. Just came back in after being outside for 5 minutes. It's raining lightly and the trees sound like they're catching some sleet pellets but I really haven't seen any hit the ground. So, cannot honestly say I have a "mix" at PWC HQ just yet. 35 degrees.

I'm in NE Austin and we're getting a mix now. I was surprised, didn't think it would start this soon. 34 at the closest weather station.

Looks like I win the prize for highest wind gust http://forecast.weather.gov/product.php ... glossary=1 Corinth is just south of Denton. Best of luck to our south Texas neighbors.
Edit, looks like DFW took it nevermind. But man was it windy on the way to work this morning.
Howdy old neighbor. I lived in Corinth (Taylor's Ridge) for about a year before we upped-and-moved down to H-town. Nice area. I remember we had a nice snow up there the winter of 2004-2005. That was my last winter rodeo up there. The year before that was the big Valentine's day snowstorm (was living in Frisco for that one...)
Ah yes, I remember that one. Was a student at UNT at the time. Been in the area my whole life. Grew up in Carrollton and went to UNT in 2001. Been there ever since after graduating in 06. I work there now. I have been through many of storms up this way. It's still hard to wrap my head around the fact that 6 months from now I can stand in the exact same spot and be 100+ and right now in the teens. Weather in Texas is truly a special thing. I know where Taylors Ridge is. I live in that general area now.

It is 26 degrees and dropping quickly from 34 degrees about 40 minutes ago here near South Central Austin. Rain is still falling and it is beginning to freeze on surfaces. I'm hoping it changes over soon. I checked two of my thermometers to make sure the 26 wasn't a fluke they both are reading 26 degrees.

Yes, this is the bread aisle and this is exactly what all of our stores looked like today. Sam's had every register open and lines at least 5 deep in every single one. Wal Mart wasn't this busy on Black Friday. It was horrible.
