Yes and I hope I get to see some snow here in Biloxi; last week it was nothing but freezing rain but it has turned very cold here today with strong winds. :cold:

Wwl in new Orleans just showed extended for cast that reports that there is a 90% chance of this continuing through the tomorrow. Has something changed? I thought all the moisture was going to wrap up tonight over night for the new Orleans area.

This isn't anything earth shattering but damn if it isn't cold out. Damp, windy, drizzly. About time to break out that bottle of Maker's. Unfortunately it is in the freezer so it might not have the full effect.

Had to be some kind of mistake. The sleet/freezing rain line continues to drop south pretty quick. This could be over before dark if it doesn't slow down. Plus all the dry air in south LA isn't helping :grr:

Additional moisture developing North of Galveston Bay in Texas, don't think it's going to be over too soon.

A lot has happened in the last 30 minutes. People are texting me there seeing some snow in the BTR suburbs and surrounding parishes.

I see the radar is filling in fast.

Still moderate to heavy sleet in West Hattiesburg, 3/4 inch accumulation so far. It looks like the snow line has moved into Northern Lamar County so maybe we'll see a changeover to snow in the next hour or so.

New Total Accumulation Map from the NWS in Jackson

We're about 5 miles south of Hwy 98 in West Hattiesburg and the Intellicast Radar is showing the snow line right around Hwy 98, but still sleeting here and no snow yet.

Looks like the freezing rain has changed over to moderate sleet now. Icicles hanging from the roof and a solid sheet of ice on the car. Just need an inch of snow later on to complete the smorgasbord.
