They report a nice stadium effect inside the eye and that should be beautiful being in there.

Yep, that is 180mph and one BAD Cane! Depending on the FL Level Altitude that this measurment was taken will reflect the surface speed.

That's what I understand, too. Surface winds are said to be 10% lower than flight level winds.

So, a flight level wind of 180 mph will be 162 mph at the surface (so rounded to 160 mph).
