12z GFS and lastest HRRR have around an inch or so of snow for the Texarkana area.

I am going to pick up both my kids right now. I won't wait either. My poor wife will be stuck in rush hour later.

1/10" accumulation of snow in Weatherford before 7 a.m. this morning, then no precipitation from that time until just now (11:00 a.m.).
Very light freezing rain and sleet just started here now.

Things are going downhill in the Cedar Hill area. Freezing rain is still falling, and the glaze of ice is getting thicker on the car, tree limbs...etc. It looks like the street is still okay, but I am hearing the highways are getting bad again.

Fingers crossed, but it looks like we may miss on most of the freezing rain around here. Sleet and snow look to accumulate pretty good though especially after dark so say 7-10PM will be our main time where we could get an inch. We look to be on the western edge of the heavy stuff so it could boom or bust easily.

Temp has risen a couple of degrees at DFW. Now at 30. Hopefully will continue to rise. Sorry guys... no desire here to sit in traffic for 2 hours a la early December storm.
No snow with this system = bring on the Spring later this week.

Even though on radar there appears to be precip falling in Downtown Dallas right now, there is not. Completely dry downtown.
