Special Forecast Discusison on Isabel

#1 Postby Derek Ortt » Fri Sep 12, 2003 4:24 pm

wasn't planning this, until early this afternoon, when a new forecast was needed, more for internal purposes as forecats trck has not been altered significantly. This is much longer than the routine forecast discusisons

Thanks Derek. That was an outstanding explanation of your reasoning. When you experts take the time to explain this stuff out, it really helps complete novices such as myself to gather develop a better understanding, in an accretive manner, of what is actually going on out there. Whether any one of you guys differ with each other, or with the ultimate outcome, is not the point. Your efforts are really appreciated.

That does not equate to a fish, but to an NC landfall.

The 11 won't be that detailed. This was a special discussion. More may be needed since info is needed on the storm (more planning purposes). We had to explain a few things to our RSMAS advisor, so we went through every bit of detail.

Glad that everyone enjoyed that type of discussion. Maybe in the future all discussions will be of this format
