Any other Upper MidWesterners Here?

#1 Postby Kalrany » Wed May 28, 2014 8:11 am

Hey there!

Just moved out of Texas to Wisconsin. Anyone else from the Northern regions?

We had flash flood level rains last night -- the way the water was flowing back out the drains reminded me of Galveston! :)

It had to be done. I got a job. :cheesy:

We have had rain off and on for almost 24h now. It has reminded me of Galveston so far... Just "a bit" less heat!

So the rain actually fell for a change... What I can't understand is why I couldn't ever get the rain when I was actually living there... Well, it least it means the trees remain alive. That was an issue I was worried about for the house. Still on the market...

Anyone from Nebraska on here? I hope that people are well and not in the path of the tornados yesterday.

We had a bit of rough weather overnight here in the Madison WI area. A much less severe suspected EF1 tornado in Verona WI, which resulted in damage to several homes. Some structural damage and power outages in portions of Madison from the main rain storm. At ~4 mi away, the wind was rather loud just after midnight, but clean up seems to be going well. It is now clear and sunny in the low 70s, so that helps. :sun:
