This is the general tropical discussion area. Anyone can take their shot at predicting a storms path.

Well In the last 4 frames it has moved not due west but north of due west and also the foward sped has gone up a little. Any of you see the same as I am?

Dont mean much now but if that keeps up for more than 6 hours then that could signal a WNW track to start tonight but let's wait a few more hours.

Weebles (and strong hurricanes) Wobble lol This one sure isn't showing any signs of falling down either. :-) Isabel has been slowly creeping wnw for a while now but it's still a lot more west than north ;-)

C'eye, from what I can tell on the GOES IR she appears to moving at about 280-285 degrees.... West is 270.... WNW 292.5.... so its definitely off the due west and perhaps even the just north of due west track during the past couple of hours or so... maybe it will flatter back out later but I doubt it...

good question, it should per the NHC... the thing that bothers me somewhat is that is back to a Cat 5 again, per recon... and with that comes the "dreaded" .... they create their own environment factor... which is always the unknown for me in forecasting.... along with all the models as well...

Really looking WNW last 3 hours now...as I said on an earlier thread...the high to the north is starting to shift around to the east.
