ok that first feature was in fact a dry slot.. the velocities at about 9 to 10k match well with the curved bands that the center is a tad east of there..

Yeah just went outside to watch here in Jupiter, just north of Don Ross. It's fantastic. Lighting from 180+ degrees. Well over a flash/second.
Air feels drier here than earlier though. Decent breeze, with stars above. High clouds have a striated pattern.

Shear shouldn't be an issue according to these graphics.

I agree. Outflow appears less well developed to the NW of center. Agree re: cane. I think Dmax will set it off.

Looks like clear skies with the moon visible and lightning in almost all directions ATM.
It is ever so slightly drier out with a dew point currently of 74°F verses earlier this afternoon when it was around 77°F!

Yeah here is the new one that is developing. Deeper convection is wrapping right around it nicely now.

As other South Florida posters have mentioned, there is an incredible 360 degree "heat" lightning show experience going on down here right now as the atmosphere is clearly energized from this developing storm. I am in the downtown Delray Beach area and it is quite amazing especially looking east out over the Atlantic.

Plantation here, and boy did we get clobbered about 20 minutes ago. Looks like there's a couple more lines forming over the Everglades. Going to be a fun evening.
We got some heavy t-storms over here in Pembroke Pines, FL. It looks like Round 2 is coming up...

That heat lightning is making it all the way over here. But more faint.

Just a drizzly, coolish Summer evening here in Jensen Beach with alternating pockets of moist and dry air.

Looking very annular to me. Reminds me of Hurricane Isabel that hit Virginia Beach back in 2003...though clearly weaker. Loose interpretation. Anybody?

Looking at Melbourne radar I've seen canes that didn't look this good.

I don't see what you mean. By what definition would you say this is looking "very annular"?

If it continues on it's present developmental rate, I wouldn't be surprised at all if we wake up to a hurricane tomorrow morning...
