Weakness of ridge saved islands

#1 Postby cycloneye » Sat Sep 13, 2003 4:46 pm

http://www.srh.noaa.gov/data/JSJ/AFDSJU

Read the first paragrafh of the San Juan AFD and see how we are lucky that Isabel didn't hit us in the islands thank god.

Will a big weakness open the door for Isabel to miss the east coast of the US completly? I hope so very much. :)

Aquawind I see the Bahamas spared but a close call however as you said fish all the way for the east coast and it not bothers anyone.

You can add south florida to the list of areas saved by the original NW motion. If Isabel was below 20N right know I'd be at Publix not home on the computer.

Yeah that NW move also saved south florida and also many more places including the GOM as well.
