I personally think we'll see less storms this season, but things look like they could support maybe one or two major storms this season, either far out in the Atlantic or closer to home in the Gulf. Global activity was way down overall last year, and in all basins it seems to be off to a stronger start than last year. 2002 could be a good analog year, with several 'homespun' storms and only two storms forming in the MDR.
