Just out of curiosity... I noticed your map and I remember Floyd's path very well.. Do you think now that she's moving WNW she may come closer to Central Florida's coast before going NW or N.. or is she gonna be well off shore..

The local mets say she's gonna be almost 700 miles off the coast.. but that sounds almost ludicrous... I think she'll be a little closer than that..

Your opinion is welcome, so is anyone elses' as long as you don't give me smart alecy remarks with your answers lol

Umm... no.

Isabel has been no where near Floyd's path, as Eric's "map" indicates.

Saying Izzy is on the same path as Floyd is incorrect.

Imagine that.

I think I see the point here. Run both storms on the map. Look at the last plot mark for Isabel and that connects to Floyd's path. So this may imply a similar track. Your mileage may vary.

Meryl Streep won an Oscar (or three actually :) ). Hilary Swank won an Oscar. Just because both actresses made it to the same point in motion picture history doesn't mean their on the same career path.

I already said it once... all that the picture depicts is that they crossed paths. NOTHING ABOUT FUTURE PATHS

No Hyperventilating please!

I took you up on your offer (challenge?).
Took the Floyd map you reference and dropped approx Izzy coords onto it. See below:

Aside from Isabel crossing Floyd's path, and both TCs being in the Atlantic ocean, there is no analog. They didn't start in the same time zone, have totally different tracks and different climo downstream. Izzy could landfall in approximately the same area as Floyd, but you need more than glasses if you think it's on the same track.

Anything else I can do for you, buddy???
