This is the general tropical discussion area. Anyone can take their shot at predicting a storms path.

This trough has "lit up" the peninsula this evening with deep convection (with very cold cloud tops especially around the Lake Okeechobee region) and as I type this from Delray Beach, outside my window, there is quite a lightning show going off towards the south...

there has been a decent amount of lightning here in north Palm Beach county. And the rain has been almost all afternoon and evening.

:uarrow: Noticed around sunset (which was very visible and stunning btw) that there was lightning sporadically flashing off in the distance towards the south of me.

You can see a clear spin on the Miami radar.

:uarrow: Looking at the JAX radar currently, you can see closely an apparent weak very broad counter-clockwise turning just east of JAX, with a band or showers rotating south- southwest into Nassau county and JAX metro area, and showers moving northeast through and off the coast of St. Johns and Flagler counties (Saint Augusting to Palm Coast)

I think it is just the bottom node of the front. Bertha is enhancing it and we have heavy rain from it.

I think the obvious rotation on radar is just Bertha making it look like it is forming but it is just reacting to Bertha's pull.

Bertha is not affecting this elongated trough of low pressure over the FL Peninsula, if anything this system is affecting Bertha's circulation keeping her elongated on her western quadrant.

Not too much in the way of rain again here on the central coast :(

Lame. Totally lame.

Hoping for some more action soon. If we could get an electrical storm like we had a week ago, that'd be fantastic
