I would just like to say thanks to all those knowledgable people here who provided thoughtful analysis and discussions about Hurricane Isabel as she was nearing the Northern Leeward Caribbean islands.
It is no fun being on pins and needles when you don't know if a dangerous hurricane is going to hit you or not. It is truly an emotional roller coaster.
Between Hurricane Fabian and Hurricane Isabel, my anxiety has been sky high these past couple of weeks. I fully understand what people on the eastern seaboard are going through now. it is really scary.
My salvation was this board. The people here are the best!
They give you their informed honest analyses which I found so helpful.
No one can guarantee a thing ever where huricanes are concerned so
we in hurricane prone areas all have to learn to live with the uncertainty this time of year.
Use this board to inform yourself and get the facts. He or she who is best informed will know best how to plan and handle anything that might come up.
So thanks to all of you on this Board.
You are all PROS!
and I personally will continue to monitor this Board and follow progress of Isabel, praying she somehow becomes a fish and harms no one!
THANK YOU TO THE PROS HERE

Great Post Msbee.
I think the extremely knowledgable pros and amatures are what makes this board so interesting (and addictive). A very special thank you goes out to the experts on this board! I am very much a novice, but have probably doubled my hurricane knowledge, just by following Isabel here at storm2k.

I have to add my 2 cents here also.. I have learned so much since joining this board.. and thanks to the Mets that have taken their time with such a green newbie & made me understand.. I will tell you I have more confidence in Mets now than ever before.. I will not be so crazy when a storm forms & I will be watchful but not totally stressed unless they tell me to be!
