XKCD's my favorite webcomic--I read it every week.
Anyway Randall's done a chart for "What's the Worst hurricane Anyone In Your Town Remembers". He used HURDAT and NCEP rainfall totals, so that's why some of the data may appear a bit odd to us.
I like it though. What do you all think?

I thought this was very cool! I love the use of rainfall, as many people just associate hurricane damage with wind and/or storm surge. Inland flooding can also be very deadly. For example, Camille killed over 100 people in Virginia, obviously an area quite a distance from its landfall location.
