Tropical storm Linda forms at EPAC

#1 Postby cycloneye » Sun Sep 14, 2003 10:55 am

http://www.nhc.noaa.gov/text/refresh/MI ... 1450.shtml?

In 1995 Linda was the most powerful hurricane in the EPAC ever with 180 mph sustained winds but now we have another Linda that wont be as powerful as the 95 one.

Many may ask why the name Linda was not retired and the reason is that she didn't make landfall anywhere in that basin and until a system causes deaths in a landfalling place the name remains for the next cycle of 6 years.
