So what have we really gotten from this run so far. It seems to sit and drift similar to a run a day or so ago, just further south. Then catches the weakness and heads out.

Don't throw the run out completely. It's telling you something important. It's saying the steering currents are not well defined. We could be looking at a meandering or slow moving storm. Possibly lingering over bath water.

On that I agree for sure, not going to compare it to a certain storm that was not very strong and sat in the island chain got stuck under a ridge and came almost straight west. But it does have a certain un easy feeling about it.
